Absolum is a subscription-based side-scrolling beat ’em up by Dotemu, blending fast-paced combat with roguelite progression. Set in the shattered world of Talamh, devastated by a magical cataclysm, players join a rebellion led by the enchantress Uchawi to overthrow the tyrannical Sun King Azra and his Crimson Order. With its fusion of nostalgic arcade action and modern mechanics, the game offers endless replayability and a dynamic combat system.

The Heroes of Talamh

Players can embody four diverse heroes, each with unique abilities and fighting styles. Galandra wields a colossal sword and necromantic magic to crush enemies, while Karl, the last free dwarf, relies on his blunderbuss and raw brawling power. Later in the journey, Brome, a wizard prodigy, and Cider, a nimble skirmisher, join the fight, bringing new tactical depth to the rebellion. Each character’s skills shape how you approach combat and strategy.

Roguelite Combat with Tactical Depth

Absolum’s combat combines rapid combo chains, spellcasting, and strategic counters to create a system that rewards skill and precision. Rare items and magical counters can turn battles in your favor, while multiple paths and unpredictable encounters ensure no two runs are the same. The game challenges players to adapt their strategies with each attempt, making every run a fresh experience.
