Kiln, developed by Double Fine Productions, is a subscription-based multiplayer game that blends pottery creation with competitive arena battles. Players sculpt their own ceramic creations on a pottery wheel, and these bespoke pots become the avatars they control in combat. The shape and size of your pottery directly influence your abilities and playstyle, making every match a unique blend of artistry and strategy.

Pottery Crafting and Customization

Kiln’s realistic pottery wheel allows players to shape, decorate, and personalize their creations using a variety of tools and techniques. Experiment with forms like plates, jugs, cups, and bowls, each offering distinct attributes and attack styles. After crafting, players can head to The Wedge, a creative hub to refine their skills, showcase their pots, and explore the designs of others in the community.

Team-Based Arena Battles

The core gameplay revolves around team-based matches where players use their pots as weapons and shields. Victory requires collecting water to extinguish the opposing team’s kiln while navigating battlefields littered with shattered pottery. Success depends on teamwork and adapting strategies to the unique attributes of your creations.

Social and Collaborative Gameplay

Kiln emphasizes cooperative play, whether through casual experimentation with friends or intense multiplayer skirmishes. The game encourages players to collaborate, sharing designs and strategizing to discover powerful combinations. The interplay of creativity and destruction makes every session a dynamic and unpredictable experience.
