You are a puppet brought to life in Lies of P, a dark and twisted soulslike action RPG developed by Neowiz. Set in the haunted city of Krat during a Belle Époque-inspired era, the game reimagines the classic tale of Pinocchio, plunging players into a world where lies and truth shape destinies. Guided by a mysterious voice, you must navigate the chaos wrought by bloodlust and madness, confronting monstrous foes, unraveling intricate secrets, and making moral choices that define your journey. In this grim retelling, survival hinges on adapting your combat style, exploring the depths of Krat, and choosing whether to confront challenges with honesty—or deception.
Explore the Plagued City of Krat
Krat is a city consumed by despair, its grandeur now overshadowed by blood-soaked streets and rampant madness. Once thriving due to its puppet industry, the city now bears the scars of its downfall, with grim secrets hidden within its alleys and monuments. Inspired by the elegance of the Belle Époque era, Krat’s architecture and atmosphere create an ominous backdrop for your journey. As a puppet awakening amidst this chaos, you’ll rely on your instincts and the guidance of an enigmatic voice to uncover the mysteries that led to the city’s collapse. Every corner reveals a new piece of the puzzle, demanding exploration and courage as you unravel Krat’s dark history.
Engage in Dynamic and Brutal Combat
Combat in Lies of P is a relentless test of skill and strategy, blending challenging encounters with inventive weapon mechanics. Adapt your fighting style by forging unique weapon combinations, utilizing the Legion Arms, and unlocking new abilities to counter the grotesque monsters that roam Krat. Each encounter pushes you to master timing, precision, and resourcefulness, as enemies grow more vicious and environments demand tactical awareness. The game’s combat system rewards experimentation, encouraging players to craft their own approach to surviving the nightmarish threats that stand in their way.
Discover the Power of Lies and Truth
Moral choices play a pivotal role in shaping your journey and the world around you. Lies of P challenges players with moments where truth and deception can alter outcomes, relationships, and even your own identity. Will you comfort others by weaving lies or confront the harshness of reality with honesty? These decisions aren’t just narrative elements—they influence the gameplay, offering different paths and consequences that reflect your chosen morality. The weight of your choices adds depth to the story, ensuring that every lie—or truth—carries meaningful repercussions.
Unleash Your Potential with Adaptive Weaponry
The game’s weapon system is a cornerstone of its gameplay, offering unparalleled customization and creativity. Combine different weapon parts to create dynamic tools suited to your combat style, whether it’s a brutal offensive approach or a calculated defensive strategy. The Legion Arms further enhances your arsenal, introducing transformative abilities that expand the possibilities in combat. Whether you’re facing hordes of twisted enemies or a single formidable foe, the flexibility of your weapons ensures you’re prepared for any challenge Krat throws your way.
Experience a Grim Retelling of Pinocchio
Lies of P takes the beloved tale of Pinocchio and transforms it into a dark and mature narrative filled with symbolism and intrigue. The game’s story invites players to uncover hidden truths about the puppet’s origins, the enigmatic voice guiding him, and the city’s descent into chaos. This reinterpretation breathes new life into Pinocchio’s journey, casting it as a tale of survival, self-discovery, and moral ambiguity in the face of overwhelming darkness. Fans of gothic storytelling will find themselves enthralled by the layered narrative and its rich, haunting themes.
Survive Against Unimaginable Monsters
Krat is home to horrifying creatures that test your resolve and skill at every turn. From grotesque puppet abominations to elite enemies guarding the city’s secrets, each foe presents unique challenges requiring careful strategy to defeat. The game’s enemy design pushes players to study attack patterns, exploit weaknesses, and adapt quickly to changing scenarios. As you progress, the intensity of these encounters escalates, demanding not only strength but also cunning and perseverance to overcome the terrors lurking in the city.
Forge Your Path in a Beautiful Yet Cruel World
The juxtaposition of Krat’s breathtaking Belle Époque aesthetics and its gruesome downfall creates a setting that is as mesmerizing as it is cruel. This once-vibrant city now stands as a testament to the consequences of ambition and hubris, inviting players to explore its dilapidated grandeur. Every district tells a story, from the opulent mansions of the elite to the shadowy depths of the puppet factories. Your adventure through this ravaged landscape is not just a fight for survival—it’s an exploration of beauty turned to ruin, and hope lost to darkness.
Confront the Secrets of the Puppet Industry
Central to Krat’s downfall is its puppet industry, a technological marvel that once brought prosperity but ultimately led to catastrophe. As you delve into the city’s lore, you’ll uncover the sinister truths behind this innovation and its role in the descent into madness. The puppets, once tools of progress, now embody the corruption and violence infecting Krat. Understanding their creation and the motivations of the elites who controlled them is critical to unraveling the city’s mysteries and shaping the fate of its inhabitants.
Shape Your Destiny Through Decisions
In Lies of P, your choices carry profound weight, influencing the trajectory of your story and the lives of those around you. The game’s decision-making system is intricately tied to its narrative, offering multiple outcomes based on your approach to truth and deception. As you navigate moments of moral ambiguity, you’ll find that your decisions not only impact immediate events but also define the puppet’s journey in the broader context of Krat’s turmoil. This layer of player agency ensures a deeply personal experience, making every choice a step toward discovering who you truly are.
Build Your Legend in a Soulslike Challenge
For fans of the soulslike genre, Lies of P offers a meticulously crafted experience that demands precision, patience, and resilience. Its intricate combat mechanics, punishing enemy encounters, and layered exploration provide the hallmark challenges that genre enthusiasts crave. Yet, the addition of moral choices and adaptive weapon customization adds a refreshing twist, ensuring that Lies of P stands out as more than just a test of skill—it’s a journey of self-discovery and moral complexity set against the backdrop of one of gaming’s most haunting worlds.
