MX Bikes is a motocross simulator developed by PiBoSo, featuring a physics engine designed to simulate motorcycle dynamics and setup options. A standout feature is the automotive industry-standard tyre model, which enhances realism in riding experience. The game supports online races, allowing players to host or join events, with data collection for rider statistics. While MX Bikes does not include AI or a career mode, it offers a variety of customization options and tools for advanced users to create and integrate new content.

Physics-Based Racing Dynamics

MX Bikes employs a scratch-built physics engine that simulates motorcycle dynamics, chassis flex, and wet terrain conditions. The tyre model is designed according to automotive industry standards, providing an authentic racing feel. Dynamic terrain deformation adds to the realism, affecting how bikes handle during races. Players can select rider gestures and utilize plugins to receive real-time data from their simulated bikes.

Customization and Modding Tools

The game offers extensive customization of bikes and gear, including options to paint helmets, kits, boots, and gloves. Advanced users can access tools and documentation to create and integrate new tracks, bikes, and protective gear. This modding capability allows for personalized racing experiences and the expansion of game content beyond the base offering.

Multiplayer and VR Support

MX Bikes supports LAN and online racing, with a dedicated server option for seamless multiplayer experiences. Native support for Oculus Rift and SteamVR, including HTC Vive and Valve Index, enhances immersion for players using virtual reality. The game also includes FreeTrack and EDTracker support, providing additional tracking options for VR users.
