Unturned is a free-to-play survival game developed by Smartly Dressed Games, set in a zombie apocalypse. Its strongest feature is the open availability of its source code, enabling players to modify and rebuild the game entirely. With no pay-to-win mechanics, monetization is limited to optional cosmetic items, ensuring a level playing field.

Survival in a Zombie-Infested World

Scavenge for essential supplies, hunt wildlife for food, and build shelters to protect yourself in a world teeming with the undead. Players must fortify their bases to withstand waves of supernatural zombies while venturing into deadzones for valuable loot and airdrops. Careful resource management and preparation are crucial for enduring the apocalypse.

Massive Levels and Diverse Exploration

Traverse expansive maps by air, land, or sea, uncovering hidden secrets and encountering NPCs for trading and assistance. Whether piloting a helicopter, driving vehicles, or navigating waterways, exploration offers plenty of variety and surprises. Players can also engage in cooperative missions or intense PvP raids with others.

Custom Maps and Steam Workshop Mods

Unturned thrives on community creativity, with full Steam Workshop integration allowing players to design, share, and play custom maps and mods. From small tweaks to total overhauls, the game’s open development extends to the release of its source code, making it a unique platform for user-driven content and innovation.
